Del Neri furious after Juventus defeat

Juventus fell to their second consecutive defeat last night, this time loosing 2-1 to Palermo. Bianconeri coach Luigi Del Neri was furious with the referee for his part in the defeat.
Juventus saw themselves slip to eight in the Serie A table and are now 13 points adrift of league leaders Milan. The defeat also saw Palermo jump above them in the table. All the goals came in the first half with Fabrizio Miccoli and Giulio Migliaccio putting the Sicilians two goals up before Claudio Marchisio reduced the deficit 10 minutes before the break.
Luigi Del Neri thought that a big injustice had befallen his team when Palermo’s Cesare Bovo looked like he had handled the ball in his own area just before the break. Del Neri furiously told Tuttomercatoweb, “I don’t know what happened with the referee. Either he didn’t see it, or he didn’t want to award it. There were some crazy decisions, and the penalty not awarded was only one of them. We want to be respected. We don’t expect every penalty to be given to us, but when something is evident, one cannot say that he did not see it.”
Juventus will hope to stop the rot this weekend when they face Cagliari away in Sardinia. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
