Del Neri left fuming as Juventus crash out of Europe

Juventus Coach Luigi Del Neri was furious with the referee’s decision to play their Europa League tie in Poznan on Wednesday evening.
Speaking on Italian television station Mediaset after the game, the Bianconeri Coach stated that: “In conditions like this it is impossible to play, you could not even see the lines on the pitch. It has been an irregular match on a field that was impracticable”.
In temperatures that at kick-off time had dropped to minus 12 degrees and in blizzard conditions, the Italians had asked the match officials to consider postponing the game but it was decided that the match could go ahead, a decision that clearly benefited the home side.
A 1-1 draw was not enough for Del Neri’s men as the other game in the group saw Manchester City defeat FC Salzburg 3-0 bringing La Vecchia Signora’s participation in European competition to an end for this season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
