Del Neri not looking for excuses

Juventus Coach Luigi Del Neri admitted his side played poorly in losing to Parma, but refuted any suggestion of resigning. The loss means Juve have only a faint hope of European qualification.
Sebastian Giovinco decided the contest in the 64th minute, once again scoring against his former club. I Bianconeri are only still in the hunt for a Europa League place thanks to Catania’s last-gasp victory against Roma.
Del Neri told the club’s official website, “Barring a miracle, we’re out of Europe, but it hasn’t been decided in this penultimate match. Today, we’ve used very young players and preparing for this game has not been easy.”
“In all case, we do not need excuses, because there aren’t any: we played poorly, lacking in energy to face a very aggressive side.”

The tactician understands the fans are disappointed with how the season unraveled after the winter break, but wants to finish off on the right note when the Old Lady hosts Napoli next weekend.
“We’re all upset, because we wanted to finish our season differently. Unfortunately, our championship was very unique, characterised by several mistakes.
“Last summer, the club underwent several changes, many new players joined Juventus and difficulties were inevitable. Now, against Napoli, we’ll try to at least finish in the best way possible.”

On the subject of resigning, Del Neri dismissed any possibility of this being the case, telling journalists: “Why should I resign? I won’t even consider such a thing.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
