Del Neri to partner Del Piero and Matri in attack

Juventus boss Luigi Del Neri has confirmed to the media his side will return to a 4-4-2 formation, with Alessandro Del Piero to partner Alessandro Matri up front.
Juventus.com reports the tactician will leave the 4-3-3 system in order to welcome back Del Piero, who returned to action last week against Fiorentina from the bench.
Speaking of the change in system recently, Del Neri noted: “We never abandoned that [4-4-2] system; we have just been waiting for Del Piero’s return which guarantees us a better balance.”
Jorge Martinez has been ruled out with yet another muscle injury in the leg, while Paolo De Ceglie has been given an extra week on the training ground to get up to full fitness before his return to action.
Del Neri is aware Catania will come out fighting for the points, with their Serie A survival not yet assured. The Coach felt they took the fight to Lazio last weekend until they conceded for a second time.
“Up until the score was 1-1 they played extremely well, then they conceded and fell apart. We’ll face a side full of determination and fight, they need points for survival.”
Despite three wins in their past five matches, Del Neri is still receiving criticism for the team’s slide down the table which has almost certainly seen them miss out on Europe.
“It seems like we’ve just had five defeats in a row. We always give our best but we never presume we’re going to win every game. The result wasn’t what we wanted, we looked for victory, but we weren’t able to achieve it.”
“My future? Nothing’s changed. All I am interested in is the championship and my job is to coach the team, making sure that they continue to fight to win every game.”

All ten Serie A games will be played today with Easter being celebrated on Sunday.
