Del Neri trusts in youth for the visit of Salzburg

As his side prepares to face Red Bull Salzburg in Thursday evening’s big Europa League clash, Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri has turned to the club’s youngsters in view of the Bianconeri’s mounting injury crisis. Out of a squad of 19 players convened for the visit of the Austrian side, eight are from Giovanni Bucaro’s Primavera side. 19-year-old Manuel Giandonato, who is already receiving rave reviews in the peninsula, looks set to anchor the midfield alongside Mohamed Sissoko.
The youngster also looks set to make his Under 21 debut next month under the guidance of new coach Ciro Ferrara. The Bianconeri’s bench for Thursday’s game will be made up entirely of players from the Primavera squad. Goalkeeper Marco Constantino, defender Andrea De Paola, midfielder’s Matteo Liviero, Marcel Buchel and Filippo Boniperti will all be available for selection, as will strikers Niccolo Gianetti and Alberto Libertazzi.
