Del Neri urges supporters to unite

Juventus Coach Luigi Del Neri is hoping to go into next week’s international break on a positive note as his side take on Brescia today and has urged fans to back the team in the difficult moment it is currently experiencing.
The match in Turin is vital for both team’s, as Juve have seen their Champions League aspirations slip away and can only aim for the Europa League while Brescia are involved in the relegation battle.
As reported by juventus.com, Del Neri recognises the side has to perform to a higher level and get a win on the board: “We need to return to winning ways, taking account of the mistakes we’ve made but also looking at the positives from the performances against Milan and Cesena.”
Bianconeri supporters are against the Coach at this point in time, but the tactician is urging the fans to get behind the team in their hour of need.
“The supporters are always important. The team need their encouragement, they can give us the boost to win. Together we’ll fight for victory tomorrow.”
Italian newspapers have put forth a variety of names in line to replace the ex-Sampdoria boss should the Juve hierarchy act, with Luciano Spalletti, Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini mentioned. However, Del Neri does not believe he is close to the end of his tenure.
“Every game is an evaluation, the Coach should not just be judged on results, but also on his relationship with players and commitment to the job. I feel that I’m a Juventus Coach and I enjoy a good rapport with the club.”
The Old Lady goes into the match with injury concerns. Vincenzo Iaquinta was injured in training and is set to miss the remainder of the season, while Felipe Melo is on the sidelines too. Marco Motta is suspended after his red card against Cesena.
Meanwhile, Brescia face selection worries of their own. Following the 1-1 draw with Inter, three players are suspended; Andrea Caracciolo, former Juventino Jonathan Zebina and Perparim Hetemaj will sit this match out.
Possible formations:
Juventus (4-4-2)
: Buffon; Grygera, Bonucci, Chiellini, Traore; Krasic, Aquilani, Marchisio, Pepe; Del Piero, Matri. Coach: Delneri
Brescia (3-5-2): Arcari; Zoboli, Mareco, Accardi; Zambelli, Kone, Cordova, Vass, Daprela; Diamanti, Eder. Coach: Iachini.
