Del Piero rues Juventus dropped points

Alessandro Del Piero was disappointed Juventus were unable to hold on to their lead against Cesena last night. The 2-2 draw at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi was fraught with talking points and in the midst of controversial episodes the Juve symbol was on hand to assist Alessandro Matri for his first goal and play a part in his second.
The Old Lady saw three crucial points turn into one when Luis Jimenez scored from the penalty spot and Marco Parolo struck late on. The Bianconeri played the entire second half with 10 men after Marco Motta saw red late in the first period.
The Gazzetta dello Sport reports Del Piero was frustrated they could not keep their opponents at bay: “I played well? That does not interest me. The problem is we have lost two points.”
Pinturicchio was substituted just after the hour mark despite his performance, which angered the Juventus fans in attendance. “The protests? I don’t want to talk about that. Today, Delneri is in the firing line, tomorrow it could be somebody else,” noted the Captain.
Del Piero, who has four goals this season, was adamant the team will fight hard until the final whistle of the season: “We have to remain united and think that we will be able to close the Championship on a good note.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
