Del Piero rules out playing for another Serie A team

Corriere dello Sport has reported that Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has claimed that he will never play for another Italian team.
Del Piero’s contract with Juve expires in the summer, and there have not yet been any agreements to extend his deal. However, the 36-year-old has denied that he could move elsewhere in Italy in search of first-team football.
He said: “The decision on my contract renewal will be a natural one, made between myself and the club.
“There is one certainty though, and that is that I want to keep on playing, with Juventus or abroad, as I could not wear another shirt in Italy. I have experienced some difficult times here, but I have always been happy and I’m proud of the path I have taken.”

Del Piero recently scored his 178th Serie A goal for Juventus, levelling with another club icon, Giampiero Boniperti. However, he is no longer guaranteed a place in the first-team, and with no agreement reached about a contract renewal, rumours are rife about his future. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
