Del Piero to sign new Juventus deal

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Juventus have finally opened contract negotiations with club legend Alessandro Del Piero.
The 36-year-old captain’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and Juve’s failure to offer him a new deal started rumours that he could leave for the MLS in America.
But Del Piero, who has been in good form this season despite his advancing years, now looks set to stay at the club that he joined in 1993. It has been reported that sporting director Beppe Marotta will offer him a new one-year rolling contract, and has discussed the player’s future role at the Bianconeri.
It is no secret that Juventus plan on signing a new striker sooner rather than later, so Del Piero may have to settle for a substitute’s role should he sign a new contract. It is also alleged that finances haven’t yet been discussed, but Del Piero would possibly have to take a pay cut. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
