Del Piero: “We are disappointed too”

Alessandro Del Piero has told journalists Juventus players are just as disappointed as the fans with the way the season unravelled.
I Bianconeri went into the winter break in fourth spot, but inconsistent form in 2011 saw them slump to seventh and miss out on a spot in Europe altogether.
“The results have not been as we expected. Many things went wrong and we are paying for that. The fans are disappointed? They are as disappointed as we are,” said Pinturicchio, as reported by the club’s official website.
“Next year we will start again thinking about this season, which cannot be repeated. Our mistakes will be useful. We should show more enthusiasm, more bite and more heart.”
Coach Luigi Del Neri has paid for the fall with his job. Former Juve captain Antonio Conte is expected to be named the new tactician in the upcoming days.
Del Piero commented on the expected change: “I was sad to say goodbye to Del Neri in this way because he gave his all and is a man who will always be respected. Unfortunately the results determine choices.
“Conte? I know Antonio well, he was an exceptional player and he’s doing a great job as a coach. If it is made official, I hope he will be able to give a lot to Juventus and stay for the long haul.”

Juventus will be hoping that next season’s move to a new stadium helps propel them into the Champions League which they have missed out on in two successive seasons. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
