Del Piero: “We expect important results in 2011”

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero wishes that the Bianconeri manage to build on the good start they have made to the current season and secure some good results in the New Year.
2010 has been a mixed one for the Bianconeri faithful as the team endured a horrendous first half of the year which saw them finish in seventh place in the league in the previous season.
But under the new management of Gigi Del Neri, the Old Lady has recaptured some of its old glory and have had a good start to their current campaign, something which Del Piero hopes will continue.
“I expect that in 2011 we continue to build on the good form of recent months and that this situation will strengthen and enable us to achieve important results. We can do it with a bit more malice, concentration and hunger.”
Del Piero also recalled some of the difficult days under Zaccheroni and his favourite moment of the current year. The Juve talisman reserved special praise for the Bianconeri’s newest addition.
“The first six months were difficult. After the arrival of new coach, we made a very good start with Zaccheroni, but unfortunately we could not get back on track. The most beautiful moment was the victory against Milan on October 30.
“We played a game in an emergency missing several injured players, two other guys who got injured in the course of the game and also Amauri, who came on just minutes from the end, but was not well. It was a great victory.
“The biggest surprise for me has to be Krasic. His name is on everybody’s lips for the the continued excellent service he provides for the team. But overall everyone did was great and showed a lot of commitment.”

Del Piero is currently out of the squad with injury but he hopes to recover in time for the Parma game in the New Year and also to build on his goal tally for the season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
