Delio Rossi throws down the gauntlet to CSKA

Palermo Coach Delio Rossi has issued a warning to CSKA Moscow as the two teams get ready for action in the UEFA Europa League. “CSKA is one of the best teams in the Europa League, but there are times when David has beaten Goliath”, the Rosanero tactician was quoted as saying.
He also acknowledged the Russians’ superior quality in Europe: “They come here with six consecutive wins and have more experience than us in Europe and elsewhere”. CSKA were winners of the competition’s predecessor, the UEFA Cup in 2005 and last year they went as far as the quarter finals of the Champions League before being eliminated by winners Inter.
Rossi also has a selection headache on his hands with many players missing through injury. Fabrizio Miccoli, Fabio Liverani and the Slovenian duo of Armin Bačinovič and Josip Iličić are all absent, but the coach is confident of putting on a good show: “Playing in front of our home fans, we hope to win”.
Palermo currently have three points from their two games and sit third in the table behind CSKA and AC Sparta Praha. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
