Della Valle defends Mihajlovic

Andrea Della Valle, Fiorentina’s majority shareholder, has defended manager, Sinisa Mihajlovic, after La Viola’s 0-0 draw with Juventus at the weekend.
Della Valle, who along with his brother Diego helped save Fiorentina from bankruptcy back in 2002, was quick to lend his support to Mihajlovic after the game, saying: “Sinisa has one more year left on his contract, and we will honour that. We missed a lot of chances today, but that is not the manager’s fault.”
When asked about Viola fans’ booing at the end of the game, Della Valle added: “Of course, it has been a frustrating season, but I ask the fans to be patient. Next year will be an improvement, I am sure of it.”
Fans at the Artemio Franchi will feel they have every right to vocalise their dissatisfaction at Sunday’s draw: Fiorentina now find themselves in 10th place, having won only half of their 16 home games so far this season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
