Delneri targets Coppa success against Roma

Juventus Coach Luigi Delneri is targeting a run deep into the Coppa Italia as he looks to deliver the Old Lady its first piece of major silverware since 2003.
The Turin giants, nine-time winners of the much-maligned competition, face Roma in the last quarter final tonight at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. As an intriguing sub-plot, Roma share first place on the all-time winners list with Juventus. The Club to taste Coppa victory for a 10th time will earn a silver star in the same manner as 10 Scudetti equals a gold star on the shirt.
As reported on juventus.com, the Bianconeri boss spoke of his desire to do well in the tournament during the pre-match press conference:
“The game against Roma is important; we have to give all we can in order to get a result. I want to progress, but Roma are a strong team.
“Extra time could a problem, seeing as we have games next Wednesday and Sunday. However, if Parma and Palermo can play well for 120 minutes then I’m sure we’ll be able to as well.”

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is set to be rested, giving Marco Storari another start between the sticks. Juve will welcome back Vincenzo Iaquinta for his first appearance of 2011 while Zdenek Grygera, Jorge Martinez and Felipe Melo are set to start.
Roma will be without Francesco Totti, still serving a Cup ban after last season’s final, plus the injured duo of Adriano and David Pizarro. I Lupi boss Claudio Ranieri must decide whether Jeremy Menez or Marco Borriello will partner Mirko Vucinic in attack.
The winner will take on Inter in the semi-finals, after they were victorious against Napoli.
Probable formations:
Juventus (4-4-2): 33 Storari, 21 Grygera, 19 Bonucci, 3 Chiellini, 6 Grosso, 25 Martinez, 4 Melo, 14 Aquilani, 23 Pepe, 9 Iaquinta, 10 Del Piero. (13 Manninger, 43 Sorensen, 2 Motta, 8 Marchisio, 5 Sissoko, 27 Krasic, 11 Amauri).
