Doni wants Roma stay

Despite making just two appearances this season, goalkeeper Alexander Doni looks set to remain with AS Roma.
The Brazilian shot stopper doesn’t currently appear to be in coach Claudio Ranieri’s plans with Julio Sergio and Bogdan Lobont ahead of him in the pecking order.
However, despite a lack of first team action, agent Ovidio Colucci has revealed that his client is willing to remain with the club after coming so close to a move to the English Premier League in the summer.
Speaking to Laroma24.it, Colucci said: “Too many calculations have been made without considering the player’s will.
“Doni had given his availability and he had reached agreements with Fulham and West Ham, but Roma blocked the move at the last minute, deciding not to let him go.
“Doni has played little, but he is always training with professionalism and he has always been ready when needed. He wants to play for his chances now.”

Since arriving at the Stadio Olimpico in 2005 from Brazilian club Juventude, 31-year-old Doni has made over 150 appearances for the club despite never really enjoying an extended run in the starting line-up. The goalkeeper has also been awarded with 10 caps for Brazil.
