Stephan El Shaarawy is set to undertake his Milan medical exam on Saturday at Milanello, as revealed by Sky Sport 24.
The starlet will join the Italian Champions on a co-ownership basis with Genoa for a fee of €10m. The deal will also see Alexander Merkel, who undertook his medical yesterday, move in the other direction.
Yesterday, El Shaarawy’s agent, Roberto La Floria, confirmed a deal had been reached between the two parties:
“El Shaarawy is now a Milan player, just his medical needs to take place. He will be part of the team from the outset with good prospects. I am convinced he will do well.”
El Shaarawy, who has made three Serie A appearances for the port-city club, was loaned to Padova for the 2010/11 season.
The Italian U-19 international helped his side reach the promotion play-off final, where they were defeated by Novara.
