Eto’o wants Inter to show Bayern spirit against Lecce

Samuel Eto’o has called for Inter to play with the same spirit that helped them come from behind to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week when they face Lecce this weekend.
He is concerned that they do not lift their foot off the gas if they want to close the gap in the race for the Scudetto when they take on relegation threatened Lecce this weekend.
Samuel Eto’o spoke to journalists before a gala event organised by his charity in Milan. The Cameroonian made it clear that the match against the Salentini would be no walk in the park.
“Playing with the spirit that we showed was great. I hope this will to win doesn’t only come to the fore when we’re playing against teams with world-class players, but stays with us in every game we’re involved in – starting this Sunday, which will be a big test.”
Eto’o has received much praise for his recent performances, however, he was quick to make it clear that it was a team game, and when asked if he carried the team on some occasions he denied it.
“It’s unfair to say that, Inter are a good team and everyone does their job; mine is to help my team-mates. That’s what I do every day in training and in games.”
Eto’o and Inter will learn their Champions League fate in a few short hours as the draw for the quarter final stage will get underway at 1100 GMT in Nyon. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
