The date for Ciro Ferrara’s debut as national Under 21 coach has been confirmed. The FIGC website released a short statement explaining that the game will be against Turkey on Wednesday 17 November at the Stadio Bruno Recchioni in Fermo, with a kick-off scheduled for 3pm local time.
Ferrara, who recently replaced Pierluigi Casiraghi as Azzurrini head coach, has been out of work since being sacked by Juventus in 2009 and his first task will be to pick up the pieces after the team’s failure to reach the European Under 21 championships in Denmark next summer.
