Fiorentina and Chievo advance in Coppa Italia

Tuesday evening’s Coppa Italia games provided no upsets as both Fiorentina and Chievo eased into the last 16 of the competition by seeing off opposition from Italy’s second tier.
At a near deserted Stadio Artemio Franchi, first-half goals from Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar and midfielder Marco Marchionni, were followed by an Alessio Cerci strike just after the re-start helped the Viola past a limp Reggina side.
The next challenge for Sinisa Mijhalovic’s side will come in the form of Parma who they will take on in the Round of 16.
Chievo saw off the challenge of Serie Bwin league leaders Novara at the Stadio Bentagodi thanks to two goals from Uruguayan striker Pablo Granoche and one from Brazilian Marcos De Paula.
The side from Verona will visit Sicily in the next round where they will face Palermo. On Wednesday, the line-up for the last 16 will be completed when Bari entertain Livorno at the Stadio San Nicola. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
