Fiorentina bid for Barreto

Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is trying to wrap up a last-gasp move for Bari striker Paulo Barreto before the transfer deadline arrives.
Although he currently plays for Bari, the Brazilian is co-owned by Udinese too. Fiorentina are not expected to buy him outright, and are instead just looking to take over Bari’s half of the contract for a fee of €4.5 million.
Barreto would immediately transfer to Fiorentina and play for them for the foreseeable future, although Udinese would retain their 50 per cent rights in the player.
Fiorentina currently only have Alberto Gilardino as a senior striker, so the signing of the 25-year-old would result in some welcome assistance for the Italy international.
Adrian Mutu has still not left the club and may end up staying, so would add extra competition to a new frontline. Bari and Fiorentina are expected to complete the deal before the 6pm deadline. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
