Fiorentina hopeful over Behrami deal

Fiorentina remain hopeful that they will be able to agree a deal which will see Valon Behrami return to Serie A.
Behrami’s current club West Ham United turned down La Viola’s offer for the Swiss international on Monday and have said that they would not welcome a further offer.
However, Fiorentina’s club administrator Sandro Mencucci has revealed that the deal is not dead and the club are still hopeful of taking Behrami to the Artemio Franchi during the January transfer window.
Discussing the possible transfer with Rai 3, Mencucci said: “We are hopeful. But until he is in Florence and he has signed, we cannot be sure.”
Behrami joined The Hammers from Lazio in the summer of 2008 having already played for Genoa and Verona in the Italian top flight.
The 25-year-old has endured a torrid time with injuries during his spell at Upton Park but has still made 63 appearances for the club, finding the net on five occasions.
Behrami has also represented Switzerland 25 times and became the first man to be sent off for his country in a World Cup during the 2010 tournament in South Africa. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
