Fiorentina may sell Ljajic to Everton

Calciomercato.it suggests that Everton are in negotiations with Fiorentina about buying teenager Adem Ljajic.
The 19-year-old Serbian international was earmarked at the start of the season to fill the boots of Fiorentina’s star player Stevan Jovetic, who had suffered a long-term injury. However, Fiorentina have struggled this season and Ljajic hasn’t progressed at the rate that his club expected, so they are considering selling him to Everton.
Fiorentina signed the midfield playmaker last January for €8 million from Partizan Belgrade, but would ask for as much as €11 million in order to take him to England.
Approximately two years ago, while still a Partizan player, Ljajic had several trials with Manchester United. It was widely reported that the Premier League giants had agreed a pre-contract deal with both player and club, however they pulled out just before he was scheduled to join in January 2009. Fiorentina were therefore able to sign him, but two years later he could still be set for a move to England if Everton can agree terms.
