Galliani claims Milan are not interested in Napoli’s Hamsik

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has once again moved to deny that the Rossoneri are following Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik and has insisted that Antonio Cassano will be useful for the club.
Reports in the peninsula suggested that Hamsik was being monitored by Milan and they would make a move imminently which could even include Cassano travelling in the opposite direction.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis however, spoke out against such an idea and claimed that the Slovak was even more valuable than Pato for the Partenopei. Speaking to reporters, Galliani rejected Milan’s interest in the playmaker.
“De Laurentiis does well to evaluate his players so highly. However, we have never been interested in Hamsik. I’m happy that he considers Hamsik and Pato as very important players.”
Upon the future of Cassano who is reportedly discontented at the lack of playing time with the Rossoneri, Galliani was slightly non-commital but indicated his willingness to keep the player.
“Milan cannot guarantee anyone a starting spot. I remember a few years ago, we had almost completed the signing of Klinsmann but then his agent started asking for guarantees of a starting spot for his client. But, Antonio can still be very useful for Milan.”
The Rossoneri are also on the verge of completing the signing of young Italian sensation Stephan El-Sharaawy who joins on a co-ownership with Genoa and is to undergo a medical today.
“I think he is ready for Serie A. I am sure he will justify his value and go on to become a great champion.”
Galliani then confirmed that Rodney Strasser will join Novara but that will most likely be on loan and he warded off suggestions that the club were interesed in Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Bayer Leverkusen’s Arturo Vidal. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
