Galliani: “Milan must win the league”

Adriano Galliani has delivered a strong and frank demand to his club by proclaiming the need to win Serie A this season.
The long serving vice-president for the Rossoneri believes that anything but the jubilation of a Scudetto victory will see them compared to an “amusements park”.
“Milan must win the League.” he stated. “We are not an amusements park.” It has been six long years since Milan strolled to their last league title where they were under the influence of a masterful debut season from Kaka – only to disappoint in recent years with a number of lacklustre challenges on the Scudetto.
However following a number of big name arrivals to the San Siro in the likes of Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the 66 year old is confident that his club are making strides in the right direction and that the league is becoming more balanced and competitive – with champions Inter not having a formidable start.
“Milan are growing and fortunately the gap at the top is smaller – 10 points in five games (from leaders Inter) means that there is great balance.”
“In this balance, we are trying to recover some other positions in the table. In any case, there is balance.”
Il Diavolo’s chief was speaking prior to the club’s Champions League visit to Amsterdam where they meet four time winners Ajax. He expressed his desire to witness a “great victory” in dedication to club owner Silvio Berlusconi.
“Tomorrow evening in Amsterdam we hope to dedicate a great victory to our President who must alway’s be thanked for everything he has done for Milan.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
