Galliani wary of Juventus

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is happy with the Rossoneri’s lead at the top of the table but is keeping a wary eye out for Juventus who moved in to second spot last night.
Milan have had a great first part of the season and their 3-0 win over Bologna coupled with Lazio’s loss against Juventus meant that they will go into the winter break as the leaders.
“It is very important to go into the Christmas break in first place in the standings, but the Championship is long and we are not even at the half-way point yet”, said the Rossoneri executive.
“It is a long season and we should not get too excited as there is much to do. There are three teams behind us only six points away that may drop out of the race, but then of course there are Roma, Inter and Palermo.”
Galliani’s comments were indicative that the Diavolo are not taking anything for granted just yet and the CEO was specially concerned with Juventus’ rise up the table.
“In the Scudetto race, we will have to take into account the presence of Juventus. Del Neri and his team are doing very well at the moment and I was sure that it would be so.”
“Juventus has a culture of winning, great players, brilliant management and a great Coach. I’m sure we will fighting with them all the way for eventual victory.”

With the January transfer window coming up, Galliani also addressed transfer market concerns but he largely maintained what he has said earlier.
“We’re glad that the summer signings are working very well for us. In January, if we find a striker of Milan’s stature we will go for him, otherwise we remain as we are, trusting Pato to recover.”
There have been a plethora of names linked to Milan with Alessandro Matri and Mario Balotelli at the forefront. And with Carlos Tevez stating his desire to move away from Manchester City, he too has been mooted as a possible option.
“Matri and Balotelli are not for sale. Tevez is important but Milan can not make such an investment. To make another stroke (like Ibra) may be very difficult.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
