Gamberini set to remain at Fiorentina

The agent of Alessandro Gamberini believes his client will remain with Fiorentina. Gamberini has received interest from Lazio, but Francesco Romano told Radio Blu he does not expect anything to come of this.
“I think the interest in Gamberini is normal because I see him as one of the best Italian defenders. To sell him would require the wishes of Fiorentina to do so, but they do not want to give him up.”
“I think that he is one of the leaders of the squad. He does not have the captain’s armband but he is a player with a lot of personality.”

The Italian international defender, who joined Fiorentina in 2005, played 35 matches last season, scoring once.
La Viola is in the midst of a re-building phase under Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Adrian Mutu has been sold to Cesena, with Sebastien Frey and Alessio Cerci also rumoured to be leaving the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
