Garrone not ready to forgive Cassano

Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone is unwilling to accept Antonio Cassano’s repeated apologies after the two had a bust-up last month over Cassano’s absence at an event organized by the club.
“He (Cassano) may have apologised in good faith as you say certain things in a fit of anger that you don’t mean or intend but it does not change the substance of the matter “, said the Blucerchiati patron before a meeting of the Lega Seria A.
Sampdoria have asked to rescind the forward’s contract following his actions and the matter is yet to be resolved in court. Cassano for his part has apologized multiple times for the incident but Garrone admitted he still felt hurt by the forward’s original tirade: “It was a personal and profound disappointment with Cassano. He was rude and all his team-mates heard him”.
The President however admitted that he did feel sorry that things had come to head in such a way. “Who else plays like him?”, he questioned the assembled reporters before stating that the club could perhaps sell Cassano in the January transfer window. “We are waiting for a response from the arbitration board. Then we will decide whether to sell Cassano or not.”
If Cassano is to leave the Blucerchiati as expected a reunion with former coach Gigi Del Neri at Juventus is said to be the most likely option. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
