Gasperini fascinated by Roma role

Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted he is excited by the rumours linking him to the Roma bench, but has denied there is anything substantial at this stage.
The tactician was sacked by Genoa earlier in the campaign after four and a half seasons in charge. He would fit in with the attacking mentality at the Giallorossi, with Gasperini favouring a 3-4-3 formation during his time at the port-city Club.
Carlo Ancelotti has been heavily associated with the Roma job because of the change of ownership, with Vincenzo Montella expected to be relieved of the role.
“Myself at Roma? The idea is fascinating, but I have to ask whoever put down these rumours to not subscribe to them,” Gasperini is reported as saying by Forzaroma.info.
Gasperini noted he is almost ready to start searching for a new position, but will wait until the final few rounds of the championship: “For the moment I had not looked at any offers; that can begin to happen in a month when the situation at all club’s becomes clearer and they all begin to plan for next season.”
