Gasperini is the new Inter Coach

Inter have confirmed on their official website that Gian Piero Gasperini will sign a two-year contract to become their new Coach. His appointment comes after days of speculation surrounding the Nerazzurri bench.
A statement posted by the club indicates the 53-year-old’s appointment will be formalised in the coming days: “The official announcement will come as soon as the final bureaucratic formalities are completed and, in that moment, the date of his presentation to the press will be announced as well.”
Former Coach Leonardo left the Milan giants to become a director at Paris St-Germain, but after a search that linked the likes of Andre Villas-Boas and Guus Hiddink to the position, Inter President Massimo Moratti stated his happiness with the choice of Gasperini.
“President Massimo Moratti, currently out of Italy, confirmed his ‘full satisfaction with the choice’ and, together with the entire club, wishes Gasperini ‘the success that brought Inter the title of world champions.’”
Regarding Gasperini’s staff, the statement noted: “He will work with the Nerazzurri staff already present, along with two new collaborators: assistant Bruno Caneo and athletic coach Luca Trucchi.”
The ex-Genoa tactician has been out of work since being fired by the Grifoni last November. His greatest success with the Rossoblu saw him guide them to promotion and even a fifth place finish during the 2008/09 season.
At Inter he will be greeted by a few familiar faces as the likes of Diego Milito, Thiago Motta and Andrea Ranocchia have worked with him during his time with the Grifone. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
