Gattuso could make Russia move

Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala have made an audacious move for Milan’s midfield general Gennaro Gattuso, according to the Moscow based website Life Sports.
The Dagestan club, currently 13th in the Russian Premier League, are already paying former Brazilian international Roberto Carlos £5m per year and are looking to add further to their collection of world stars which also includes former Sao Paulo and PSV striker, Diego Tardelli
According to the website, Anzi, as they are known, will look to pay Gattuso an estimated £10m per year for his services.
The club is currently bankrolled by Suleiman Kerimov: a Russian billionaire who hails from the troubled North Caucasus region that neighbours Chechnya.
With age not on his side, and the prospect of midfielder Ganso arriving at the San Siro in the summer, Gattuso may see this as a final pay day before his career comes to an end.
The Italian international, whose current Milan contract runs out at the end of 2012, is serving a four-match suspension after head-butting Tottenham assistant, Joe Jordan, in the club’s Champions League last 16, first leg match earlier this month.
