Gattuso fears Milan will throw the title away

“If we don’t win the title this year we won’t win it again.” These were the words of Gennaro Gattuso after Milan’s 4-4 draw with Udinese on Sunday. The veteran midfielder showed his concern after Milan had found themselves leaking goals at home, only just managing to secure a point.
Gattuso was evidently shaken by the result and was quick to point out his teams failings saying that. “It’s true we had a number of players missing but our weakness showed in the goals we conceded, we have to give more.” At one point Milan had been 3-1 down and despite fighting back to level what was a quite extraordinary game, it was quite clear to Milan’s midfield hard man that this was not going to be good enough if they are to consider themselves title contenders.
Milan are now in a position where Inter could become their closest rivals for the title and Gattuso fully recognises this, he said “There’s work to do because if Inter win their two games they’ll be five points back and that’s what worries me. We know they’re a great team, with or without Leonardo.” Inter are currently 11points behind Milan with two games in hand and they also have to face each other in the second Derby della Madonnina of the season.
Milan travel to the Stadio Via del Mare to face Lecce next week whilst Inter face Bologna in the Giuseppe Meazza. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
