Genoa rule out Bresciano bid

Want away midfielder Mark Bresciano will not be moving to Genoa in January after I Rossoblu President Enrico Preziosi announced that he would not try and loan the Australian.
Lazio had previously claimed that Genoa were keen to take the former Palermo player on loan, however, Preziosi has now confirmed that Genoa’s top priority is a striker to replace of Luca Toni who has signed for Juventus. Speaking to local radio Preziosi said “Bresciano is a player who interests us, but we would not know where to put him. At the moment our priority is the attacker and we can not wait for that.”
It is though that 30 year old Bresciano would have welcomed the move to Genoa as he is yet to find a way into the Lazio starting eleven on a permanent basis. After joining in July the Australian has made only eleven appearances and only two of these have been in the starting line up.
Bresciano is a familiar face in Italian football, after moving to the peninsula in 1999 he has represented Empoli, Parma and Palermo before his ill fated move to Rome.
All hope of a move is not lost however, with Genoa closing in on Wigan Athletics Mauro Boselli it looks like once this deal is secured then Bresciano could be part of a swap deal involving Giuseppe Sculli who is highly rated by Lazio. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
