Genoa see off plucky Grosseto in Coppa Italia

Genoa booked their place in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday evening, but needed extra time to see off a spirited performance from Serie Bwin side Grosseto at a deserted Luigi Ferraris stadium.
The Serie A club got the fright of their lives when seven minutes into the second-half, the visitors took the lead through defender Gianluca Freddi.
It seemed a shock was on the cards but with nine minutes of normal time remaining a Luca Toni penalty levelled the contest.Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini could well have done without the extra 30 minutes but another strike from Toni towards the end of the first period, saw the Rossoblu over the finishing line. They will now play the winners of Vicenza – Ascoli in the last 16. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
