Genoa’s Veloso set to miss next six weeks

Scans have revealed Genoa’s Miguel Veloso will be forced to sit out the next six weeks of the season due to injury, as stated by the official Club website, Veloso has suffered second grade ligament damage to his left knee.
The Portuguese international suffered the blow early on during the 1-1 draw with Bologna on the weekend. Due to the international round of fixtures occurring this weekend, Veloso will join his Portuguese teammates as they prepare for a duo of friendly matches with Chile and Finland. After an examination from the national team doctors he will return to Genoa to begin his recovery.
After signing amid fanfare in the summer from Sporting Lisbon, the misfield maestro has struggled to impose himself in Italian football and has had his share of niggling injury problems. He has appeared 19 times this campaign and not yet scored, as Gian Piero Gasperini initially could not accommodate him in his 3-4-3 system.
Veloso is expected to return in early May for the final few matches of the season. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
