Giampaolo: “We fell apart in the second half”

“It’s a shame we have lost our unbeaten home record tonight”, were the words expressed by Catania boss Marco Giampaolo who was obviously disappointed as he spoke to Sky after the loss to Juventus.
With a wry smile he added, “It’s never easy for the student to beat the teacher!” – a comment aimed at his relationship with the Bianconeri coach Luigi Del Neri.
“We lost but I am very pleased with our first half performance. After half time we lost cohesion, in complete contrast to the good work of the earlier 45 minutes. The first two goals conceded were carbon copies, a ball over the top of our defence.”
The Sicilians had equalised only moments after Juve took the lead but a Fabio Quagliarella brace ensured the three points went back to Turin.
