Gilardino does not interest Juventus

Juventus have denied that they are going to bid for Fiorentina’s Alberto Gilardino in the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are in the market for a new striker and Gilardino was reportedly one of several targets.
Recent rumours claimed that Juventus would offer their own under-performing striker Amauri in a cash-plus-player offer for Gilardino, but this has been denied.
Juve Sporting Director Beppe Marotta said: “I can confirm that these are baseless reports because we have never spoken with Fiorentina and we have never spoken with the player’s agent. Amauri is recovering from a knee injury and we hope he recovers for the final part of the season.”
Amauri, 30, has been drastically out of form this season and hasn’t impressed since joining Juve from Palermo. If Marotta can line up a replacement in January then Amauri is expected to be sold, although it now seems he won’t be heading to Fiorentina in exchange for Gilardino.
Juventus’ other targets included Maxi Lopez but Catania have refused to sell him until the end of the season, while Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg is too expensive. Antonio Cassano is not expected to be on the club’s wish-list after they denied interest in him. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
