Giordano wants to see Lazio eliminated from Europe

Ex-Lazio striker Bruno Giordano believes it would be very beneficial to the Biancoceleste and their potential Scudetto challenge if they end their European adventure, while he also praised Tomasso Rocchi.
Lazio are equal second in Serie A with Udinese, just a point behind Juventus. They are competing in the Europa League but with three group matches remaining, are in a precarious situation in their group, seven behind leaders Sporting Lisbon and level on two points with Vaslui and FC Zurich.
“I hope that Edy Reja’s squad exit the Europa League. If this were to happen I believe that can have a great chance to fight for the Scudetto,” he told Sky Sport 24.
Rocchi joined Giordano in the 100 goals club for Lazio with his strike against Cagliari and Giordano, who scored 108, congratulated the player: “Let’s hope Tomasso can continue and even exceed me. I am happy for him, he has carried with honour the tradition of strikers at Lazio.”
