Guidolin impressed with Udinese win

Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin was satisfied with his side’s 4-1 win over Cesena, while also commenting on the Antonio Floro Flores situation.
Antonio Di Natale grabbed a brace, with Pablo Armero and Dusan Basta also on the scoresheet.
Guidolin told journalists afterward he was thrilled by the start but felt the team took their foot off the pedal and allowed Cesena back into the match.
“We know we have to grow in certain respects: after a brilliant beginning we should have pushed harder. There was a time when we didn’t play as a team and Cesena punished our mistake. It was a bad moment and the talk we had in the locker room was fundamental. We came back playing our football, and we’re great when we play like that.
“I don’t like possession, I’m all for vertical and fast football, which is our game. Our watchwords were attention and concentration, plus the group spirit. That’s why I liked the beginning so much and we recovered well after the break.”
The African Cup of Nations will ensure the club loses three players until the end of the month, but Guidolin is hopeful the new signings, including Gelson Fernandes, can help overcome the losses.
“We are losing three important players due to the Africa Cup, two are first-string ones. We’ll try to defend and better our splendid position: the two new signings consolidate the group as a new more complicated phase is beginning. We’ll see what we can do.”
Guidolin then spoke about Floro Flores, whose agent has signalled the player’s intention to leave the Stadio Friuli: “Floro has made a first-quality performance, he’s got talent and can improve his weapons. He needs to do the best he can here in Udine. He knows we trust him, he knows I think highly of him: I was put in front of this situation and I was quite surprised. I’ve always explained to him the choices I made and why he didn’t play against Juve. No one is neglecting Floro Flores, I really hope he can express all his talent with us.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
