Gyan wants Inter man at Sunderland

Sunderland favourite Asamoah Gyan has pleaded with his Ghanaian team-mate Sulley Muntari to join him in the North-East of England.
Muntari has fallen out of favour since joining Inter Milan in 2008 from Portsmouth and the 26-year-old has been continually linked with a move away from the San Siro during the current transfer window.
Reports have suggested that Muntari is keen on a return to the Premier League and Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has already declared his interest in taking the player to the Stadium of Light on loan basis.
Muntari is thought to favour a switch to London, but fellow countryman Gyan is keen for the former Udinese midfielder to link up with him on Wearside.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gyan said: “Sulley would give us a big boost.
“He would be loved by the fans if he was here. The fans like players who fight for the team and he is certainly one of them.
“Muntari is a quality player, with features similar to Lee Cattermole. He has a big left foot and can shoot from distance.
“I’ve known him a long time and I would be very happy if he came to us. I’d love to play in the club with him.”

Inter are thought to be willing to allow Muntari to leave the club, although they would prefer a permanent transfer as opposed to a temporary loan deal. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
