Hamsik: ‘I want Milan’

Napoli’s talismanic midfielder Marek Hamsik has declared that he would, “like to wear the AC Milan shirt this season”.
After being linked with a move to the San Siro all summer, Hamsik has finally declared his wish to join the Rossoneri after leading Napoli to their 3rd place finish last season.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has slapped a 30 million price tag on his prized asset, and will not settle for anything less if he were to depart with his best midfielder.
Napoli coach Walter Mazzari has told de Laurentiis that the sale of Hamsik would hamper his plans for the Partenopei this year, and even if they were to sell him, a player of his quality and impact would be extremely hard to find, even if Antonio Cassano were to be included in the deal.
Only time will tell if Hamsik will move to the Italian Champions, who have been linked with a January transfer for the young Brazilian Ganso.
It is highly doubtful that Galliani will purchase both players, however Hamsik’s recent declarations must have the Milan directors pondering a vital decision, especially with the departure of Andrea Pirlo.
