Hercules blocked Drenthe Juventus move

Hercules midfielder Royston Drenthe has revealed that he had agreed to join Juventus on loan during the January transfer window, only for the Spanish club to block the move.
The 23-year-old Dutchman joined Hercules on season-long deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid during the summer, but a move to Serie A looked to be on the cards when Juve confirmed their interest last week.
And Drenthe, who has reportedly not received his wages since November as a result of Hercules current financial problems, revealed that he is disappointed to not complete a transfer to Italy.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, the Rotterdam born player said: “I am saddened because the club did not let me go.
“Juventus wanted me, I had agreed to go, but then Hercules did not let me go. As a professional, I will give everything for this squad, but if they keep me on the bench, I cannot show my true worth to the club’s fans.”

Drenthe made his Holland debut in November last year, coming on as a second half substitute during a 1-0 victory over Turkey.
