Hernandez only thinking about Bologna

Abel Hernandez has quietened fears he may leave Palermo after being robbed at gun point on Wednesday.
The striker speaking for the first time since the robbery told the Gazzetta Dello Sport, “I am not thinking about leaving, I just want to leave behind this ugly history. I’m good at Palermo, I never had any problems with the city, this is just an unfortunate episode.”
Hernandez, also known as ‘Joya’ or ‘Jewel’ was forced from his vehicle around 18.00 yesterday evening while returning home from training. A motorcyclist described as between 25-30 years old gave the impression he’d been hit by the striker’s car so Hernandez stopped to investigate. The assailant then produced a gun pointing it in Hernandez’s mouth then made off with jewellery and money.
The Uruguayan said his Palermo teammates and family had been quick to offer support, “Luckily my parents are here in Palermo. Their presence is very important at this time. (Javier) Pastore rushed to my house after a few minutes and Goian, Cassani, Munoz, Miccoli and all the othersv have called. At this time my teammates are very important to me. “
The 20 year old has recently returned from injury and wanted to reassure fans his focus was still on football, he said, “My goal now is to get straight back on the field, to think about the challenge of Bologna, which is really important for our championship.”
Palermo currently lie in 7th after losing 4-2 to Fiorentina last Sunday and need 3 points at the Stadio Dall’Ara to keep up their challenge for Champions League football.
