Hernandez ‘terrified’ after robbery

Palermo striker Abel Hernandez is considering his future at the club after being robbed on Wednesday evening. The Uruguayan was returning home from training when his car was stopped, and an assailant took his earrings, jewellery and money.
The 20 year old international was forced from the vehicle and made to hand over all his valuables then had a gun put in his mouth which has reportedly left him “terrified”.
Hernandez’s agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito told reporters from the Gazzetta Dello Sport, “These things can happen anywhere. The bad thing is that he had the gun in his mouth, he was alone when it happened.” Afterward the striker drove to the police station with his parents to report the incident.
Hernandez has recently returned from injury and scored in Palermo’s 4-2 win over Lecce helping Il Rosanero to 7th in Serie A. There were reports of a potential transfer from the Sicilian giants to Inter Milan during the January transfer window, but last week he pledged his future to the club “for a long time”. D’Ippolito also moved to quell concerns the striker could leave the club after the robbery.
