Iaquinta to miss rest of Juventus season

Juventus has received a blow ahead of their encounter against Brescia on Sunday, with the news striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.
As noted by the Club’s official website, juventus.com, Iaquinta will not recover in time to feature again this campaign.
“The striker, withdrawn from Thursday’s training after having picked up a muscle injury, underwent a medical examination which showed a sizeable tear of the straight femoral muscle in his left thigh.
“It will take an estimated three months to recover from the injury, at which point the season will have already reached its conclusion.”

Iaquinta has been linked with a move away from Turin as the Bianconeri looks to revitalise their forward line and thus may have played his last match for the Old Lady. In a season hampered by injury, he has scored five times in 22 matches.
In other injury news at the club, Felipe Melo is set to miss the clash with Brescia; however, Jorge Martinez, Luca Toni and Armand Traore are all up for selection.
