Ibrahimović banned for three games

In an official statement released on the Lega Serie A website, the Giudice Sportivo (Sporting Justice) have announced that Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimović has been banned for three games following the Rossoneri’s game against Fiorentina on Sunday night.
The Swede was given a straight red card for insulting the assistant referee, and this has resulted in a two game suspension. In addition, a further game has been added for the yellow card he received prior to his dismissal – his eighth of the season.
The statement also confirmed a two game ban for Paolo Sammarco, who despite remaining a substitute was sent-off for the same offence as Ibrahimović in Cesena’s 2-2 draw with Palermo on Sunday afternoon.
