Ibrahimovic the key for Milan to sign Ronaldo

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s assault on Berlusconi has opened many possible scenarios for the transfer market. Il Corriere dello Sport looks at the possibilities.
Rumours have started to circulate around the corridors of the Via Turati outfit regarding Ibrahimovic being the key for the Rossoneri to lure Cristiano Ronaldo to Milan. At Milanello every possible evaluation is being made with which card Galliani and Co. should play. The rest is a given due to Berlusconi giving Galliani ‘carta bianca’ the ‘white card’ or unlimited funds to catch the Portuguese star.
For this deal to go through a big name will, however, have to be sacrificed, though an extra star in the front line Allegri will have a lot to smile about. With Robinho and Cassano both having already worn the ‘Merengue’ jersey, the candidates for the deal will be Pato and Ibrahimovic. The Brazilian, despite having been rumoured to move several months ago, has squashed all rumours and is no longer on the market. His new lover, Barbara Berlusconi, has seen him reassess his situation at Milan, therefore leaving Ibra as the remaining forward to leave.
The Swede’s wages comes at a heavy price for the Rossoneri at 12 million Euros a year, but with him gone it will allow for the flexibility to lure Ronaldo to Milanello at 15 million a season. Should Real Madrid fail to win the Spanish league, Coppa del Rey or the Champions League, temptation of a possible move to another team could entice the ex-Manchester United player. In the case of Mourinho, he risks losing everything should the titles fail to come his way, seeing both him and Ronaldo saying their goodbyes to Real.
Barcelona also seems to be interested in the Portuguese international and they could possibly disrupt the Ibra-Ronaldo deal. Milan with great force and professionalism would have to consult Barcelona. The Swede’s contract, in fact, allows for a free loan for next season and then a sell out exchange for €24 million, payable in three instalments of 8 million each. Would the Catalan club allow for the return of Ibra to the league wearing the shorts of Real? Whilst another rumour has seen Manchester City interested in the ‘bomber’ from Malmo.
