Inter: Bale too expensive

Inter Sporting Director Marco Branca has downplayed suggestions that he could sign Gareth Bale, claiming that Tottenham’s asking-price is too high.
Branca confirmed Inter’s interest in the 21-year-old winger but a move to Italy certainly won’t be happening on transfer deadline day, and may not even occur in the summer unless Tottenham lower their demands.
Branca said: “The Tottenham chairman sent me a nice message saying that £40million is not enough for Bale. He is a player we like and that we monitor, but the price is not compatible with our strategies.”
However, the Nerazzurri chief did speak about more realistic transfer targets, saying: “[Feyenoord striker] Luc Castaignos? We’ll decide in the next few days, but it is certainly a transfer for the summer.
“[Udinese’s Alexis] Sanchez? He wasn’t on the market and is evaluated too much. Mirko Vucinic? We have never followed him. [Fiorentina captain, Riccardo] Montolivo? In June we’ll see.” Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
