Inter defender Chivu in hot water over obscene gesture at Roma fans

Inter defender Cristian Chivu has been ordered to appear before a disciplinary panel after making obscene gestures towards supporters of Roma during last season’s Coppa Italia final.
During the match, cameras quite clearly show Chivu retaliating to supporters in the Tribuna Tevere in response to the abuse aimed at him by the fans of his former club. Inter themselves have also been ordered to appear for failing to control one of their players.
Week seven of the championship will also see several clubs missing players through suspension. Brescia midfielder Alessandro Diamanti has received a three game ban after his sending off against Lazio last Sunday.
