Inter deny Cassano and Fabregas arrivals

Inter president Massimo Moratti has played down speculation linking his club with the high-profile arrivals of Antonio Cassano and Cesc Fabregas.
Cassano could be available for free if Sampdoria successfully terminate his contract, while Arsenal captain Fabregas would command a monumental fee. However, it seems neither player is on Inter’s wish-list.
Moratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Without a doubt, Cassano is a great player. I have read in the press that we have taken steps to acquiring him, but I don’t believe this is the case. For the time being, this is just fantasy.
“I also believe Fabregas won’t arrive.”

Moratti’s words will not have pleased coach Rafa Benitez, who has claimed that his injury-hit squad need quality reinforcements in the January transfer window in order to retain the Scudetto. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
