Inter hint at Ranocchia deal

Inter are in negotiations with Genoa to sign Andrea Ranocchia according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, and the Nerazzurri’s chief technical director Marco Branca has hinted at a deal being struck.
Ranocchia is co-owned by the two clubs but has spent the first half of the season playing for Genoa. However, due to an injury crisis in defence, Inter want to buy out Ranocchia’s contract and bring him to the San Siro as soon as possible.
It is reported that Genoa want €12 million for the other half of his contract, but the Italian and European champions don’t want to spend more than €8 million.
Branca said last night: “We will try and find a solution to the inconvenience presented by Walter Samuel’s injury and nothing else, because if we are all healthy, then we are fine as we are.”
Genoa also allegedly want one of Inter’s fringe players plus cash in exchange for Ranocchia. The likes of McDonald Mariga and Sulley Muntari have been mooted with a switch to the Marassi as they don’t figure prominently in Rafa Benitez’s team.
This morning, Genoa bought a 50% stake in Inter’s 18-year-old Felice Natalino. It is unknown as yet which club Natalino will play for, but the deal is not expected to have any influence in the negotiations for Ranocchia. Welcome Bonus Offer Betway
